I don't think it's wrong to ask for those for your b-day! We all can dream, right!?!
Ok so my birthday is in......1 month and....6 days! Hmmm....my tickers wrong....anyway!
I know I shouldn't ask you guys (no offense, your great people but I think I already know the naswer, yes!) do you think it is worth it to:
1)Ask aunt and uncle for AG gift card
2) Ask sister for outfits
3) Ask family friend for AG gift card
4) Ask parents for AG gift card and trip to AG Place New York
What do you think? I say AG New York because I only live about an hour away from the city. Again, what do you think? Do you think it's wrong?

My answers:
1) Ask aunt and uncle for AG gift card: Maybe. It depends on how much you ask for the gift card to be worth. I would ask for no more than 25 dollar.
2)Ask sister for outfits: No. Especially if your sister is paying with her own money. AG outfits are expensive. Maybe you could ask for an acsessory or something else
3) Ask family friend for AG gift card: It depends on how well you know them. Do they usually give you a present or presents?
4) Ask parents for AG gift card and trip to AGPC: I would ask for actual outfits and everything. Who wants to go downstairs to see your presents in the morning and have a bunch of envelopes instead of boxes? The trip at AGPC is up to your parents.

Are these people who regularly buy you gifts?
If so, I see no problem in "hinting" what you would like for your birthday.
If these are not people who normally buy you gifts, you could say to them, "If anyone asks you what to get me for my birthday, please tell them that I would love some American Girl gift cards." I am sure they will get the hint.
Well, my aunt and uncle always ask what I want. When I say AG gift card, they usually give me $75 (lucky me, yeah. Not really though, AG is expensive) my sister dosen't pay for my presents for my birthday. I did something like this 2 years ago, and it was really fun! I got Michelle there, and also had brunch there. I had a really good time!

I agree with judiaci. If these people normally give you gifts, go ahead and hint to them at what you want. The worst they can do is not get it for you.
It's not I'm not grateful! I think $75 is a good amount. I think it's pretty stupid to charge, say, for example, over $60 for a toy horse. My sister's bike cost less than the horse!!!
Wow $75 is A LOT if you ask me! (Not saying you are ungrateful)
And I do know AG is expensive... but I usually only got $15-$20 from my Aunts and Uncles!

For 75 dollars you could buy a lot of outfits and acsessories and/or furniture. The most I get from my aunt and uncles are cards. If you feel grateful then you should edit your post and take away the "lucky me" part, alright?Originally posted by american_girl_forever:
